| 30th October 2011 What an unbelievable time we had while recording the guitars for the new Karfagen CD. We spent 5 days of intense work with very little sleep and I`m so pleased with what we`ve created. Alexandr Pavlov is one fabulous guitarist, it`s a big honour to have him on board, he came all the way from Kiev and stayed with us 24/7 for the whole period of the recording and we all formed a great bond, Serg Alex and myself. We made such huge strides with the album that I`m really excited now to confirm that the new Karfagen release is coming in time for Christmas. It`ll be a superb present and a reminder to all who endorse and savour instrumental art-rock from 1970s, something like Camel, Focus, Happy the Man and Pat Metheny. In a few days I`ll share some photos with you as well as the cover for "Lost Symphony" and as soon as I am able, some music from the album. So stay tuned! Beautiful sunny Sunday 30 Oct. Kharkiv Antony 15th October 2011 Summers End 2011 has passed - and a really fantastic time! I`m grateful to all who helped it to "BE" - Organizers as well as prog rock fans from all over the Europe. Biggest thank you goes to my friend John Sloman, it was extraordinary feeling to perform "Bells of Berlin"! I know there were a lot of people there who saw John perform the track live with Lonestar first time around, so it`s a big honour to share the stage with such a creative person. Many thanks also to my dear friend Will Mackie the "man behind the stage" for your enthusiasm, experience and support. I`m very proud of the whole set we performed, which due to more complications on arriving in the UK reduced us to only one rehearsal...(It`s so unusual to have Johns vocals, on such tracks as Midnight Train ( originally female vocalist), but wow it works!) As promised we`ll do our best next year to bring the whole Sunchild band to you. Anyway in 2012 we`ll have more live dates in EU so stay tuned and we`ll meet soon ;) Please enjoy video and photos of this remarkable event.. Ok, here`s some news for you - I`m busy recording new KARFAGEN album!!!! 70% of it is already recorded. In a few days Alexander Pavlov will come from Kiev to Kharkiv, for 5 - 7 days to record all guitars. I`m so pleased with his playing on "Solitary Sandpiper" , so its exciting to have him on board once again. The Title of the album is "LOST SYMPHONY". It mainly consists of tracks that were composed a long time ago but not recorded and released until now. This album is a dedication to all who love Camels "Snow Goose". It`s an instrumental rock symphony. Those of you who enjoyed the paintings on the cover of "Solitary Sandpiper Journey" are in for a treat as once again it`s crafted by a very talented Ukrainian painter Alla Navrotskaya. Antony 27th September 2011 SUMMERS END VISA PROBLEMS It is with great sadness we announce that Sunchild’s appearance at the Summers End Festival has been cancelled due to visa entry refusal by UK Border Agency. This unforeseen turn of events has left all concerned devastated and in a state of shock. Without boring you all with the technicalities it is a matter that given time we are confident could be resolved. Sadly, time is something we don’t have with the festival just days away. We apologise to everyone hoping to see us perform live in England for the first time and also to Stephen Lambe who has championed our cause so tirelessly, The band have been rehearsing relentlessly for the big day and we will post video footage as soon as possible on our site so that you can all see and hear live our new line up for the first time it is without doubt taking Sunchild onto another level musically. This disappointment will only make us stronger as a unit and more determined to proceed with the visa applications again early in 2012 to ensure time is not an issue again. We hope we will get the chance to play the festival next year. In the meantime. I personally can still travel as a holidaymaker to the festival so I will be able to say sorry in person and know you will all enjoy SE2011 and give a special big hand for our dear friends Magenta. Read on..... 2nd August 2009 The Sunchild live performance time has been confirmed 24th July 2009 Will of Caerllysi Music comments on Karfagen - Key to Perception:- Antony Kalugin the talented 28 year old Ukrainian rock artist, who has created two of the most exciting musical projects of the last few years Sunchild and Hoggwash, now releases the definitive history to date of his initial project work Karfagen. Unlike the other two projects it is almost totally instrumental work and captures the styles woven through all of Antony's music Progressive, Art and Jazz Rock which has pure melody at the heart of its structure inspired by his love of bands such as Camel, Focus and UK, with Antony preparing to issue a new Karfagen studio album "The Solitary Sandpiper" early in 2010, he felt now was the time to draw this line in the sand which is a statement of the first chapter of Karfagen. 21st September 2008 Owing to the decision to commence
studio recording of the new Sunchild cd The Invisible Line .Sadly The
Symphony of Sound the third album from Karfagen will now be released in
2009, amazingly this still leaves at present three projects in progress
and the tough decision of which to finish first had to be taken
likewise Hoggwash - The Casino of Life will follow next year along with
a surprise collaboration with Antony's long time Friend Sergey Kovalev
together they have written a collection of songs that truly reflex east
meets west musically. Antony also has a number of more traditional popular rock songs that he will release as a solo album, so as you can see Antony has been very busy writing and creating new music all of this summer and we promise it will all find its way to you via Caerllysi Music as quickly as possible, so hold on tight for some more great journeys with Antony's music.

birthplace of my wife so I`m glad to see my family happy too. At this moment

demos are already done...
I`ll not disappoint all those who enjoyed previous
Karfagen
albums, It`s still art-jazz-rock album but different
to earlier
works as it will contain vocal tracks. The date of
release will be announced in the
next few months but it should be Nov - Dec 2008, it will be
released on the Caerllysi
Music label,
most of you already know this label and supplier of
the best in progressive music and I am proud to be part of it. It was great to
work with Unicorn on
my other releases and I`m greatful to them but now
it`s time move forward. Keep dreaming and
stay a child with an open heart! :)
