Sunchild Live 2009 What a time it was!! First of all we drove 3500km in two cars - my wife Valentayn and I were the drivers. We spent 5 days driving from Kharkiv to Saint-Palais. 1st day - long and exhausting travel through the Ukraine. 2nd day - we spent a lot of time on the customs border, showing our synths and baggage, and  we were lucky enough to find an inexpensive hotel in Zheshov. 3rd day - we found shelter in a beautiful camping site near the German border, Legnicke Pole. One nights stay cost 5 euro per person. We had great evening and superb rest there, with tasty polish beer. 4th day - we crossed into Germany - very expensive country 2,70 euro per 1litre of water...Hmm Late at night we were in France, where we slept on a parking area. Some of us were sleeping in the cars, others just on the ground!. it was hard night. (35eu per person to camp was minimum price that we found in France) 5th day - We crossed Paris. it was the hardest day to drive - the only thing we wanted was to sleep, but you're driving and driving (700 km each day minimum - those of you who had long journeys can imagine what we felt like :)) Ok, in the evening at last we found Saint-Palais and Sebastian's house! It was moment of truth, here it was, no more road!  Next day we played the festival just right after Aisles. They're a really nice band and a good start for the festival. Then it was our turn - the majestic ocean just right before the scene, unforgettable feeling. I enjoyed the sound, the Audience and the atmosphere. Mainly we performed tracks from Sunchild albums, but also we played 2 tracks from KARFAGEN and Another Friday Night from HOGGWASH. Also we had a few surprises - we performed 2 tracks from The next SUNCHILD album. It was great show - not perfect but I'm pleased! Then superb Il Bacho della Medusa finished the 1st festival day set. They are nice guys and we spent some great time with them. Next two days was like in a dream. During the  day you're on the ocean shore, the evening you're relaxed listening the fabulous bands. Baraka, After, Djam Karet and all other bands made this Festival fantastic. We get meet most of the other musicians - who knows maybe we'll record something together:) Sebastian was kind enough to ask to play on 26 Aug in the centre of the town. We gladly said YES! It was our solo concert - the sound was not as good as the festival but still it was a fantastic way to finish of our time in France. I love France! We tasted its wine - cool!! We visited Bordeaux, and Paris and some small towns on the road to it. Very kind people, tasty food, graceful cars and beautiful nature. The road home was even harder, but we did it!!!
